Mom says I sure know how to cause trouble. I thought she would be proud of me!
KT and I needed to do our business last night, must have been later than normal because Mom was asleep and Dad too! Anyway, while I was doing my patrol, I found a mouse on the patio. KT and I made sure it was not able to move very quickly!!! Mom heard the little "rat" squeaking and came running; think she thought I had a rabbit. She yelled for Dad and they both came outside to take the little villian away from me. I gave them a good chase around the yard; it was great fun!!! But they cornered me in the front side yard and Dad took it away, Double Bummer!!!!!!
Mom HATES mice!!! Even though she was glad I killed it, she was pretty upset that I was carrying it around in my mouth and wouldn't let go! It was fun, watching them running around chasing me in their PJs. LOL!!! Especially at midnight! Could be why Mom was upset also. Oh well, she still loves me!

Bummer, staying home!
Nacho here checking in for our weekly review. Mom and Dad said we have to stay home this weekend and do some catching up. After being gone camping for three weekends, we need to do household chores. How boring! At least they will be home with KT and me all day! Yeah! :)
Nothing new to report because they just go to work every day. Mom said only one month until vacation to VT with Pamela and my fur family. Should be lots of fun!!! Guess since she promised that, I won't complain about this weekend.
Kisses to All!!

More pictures from Chuck Wagon Rally
Bill and Carly's Scotty, the outside, note all the cute decorative items around it.
The dining table with the Flamingo!
The frig and bed. They went tiki hut style inside.
KT promised more pictures yesterday, so I'm back today to deliver on her
promise. She rather took over yesterday, I was just playing and
burning up some energy from being in a trailer instead of a house with a
big back yard. Gee, a guy can't have any fun!
Anyway, the Scotty trailer is first, next will be the inside of Mandi's Forester, she was one of the hostesses.
This is the dinette in Mandie's trailer.
This is the Winnebago with the cab-over, Dad told Mom she was wrong it is not a fifth wheel! Anyway, it's cute!!! Lots more room than Mom thought. Pictured is Norm and Julie.
The frig and couch area.
The kitchen, dinette with cab-over above. So cute!!!
Mom thought you would enjoy seeing the insides of these vintage trailers as much as she did! It was a great time.
She also wanted to share the inside of the Prairie-style courthouse they visited on Friday with Scott and Kathy. Scott's firm is overseeing the repairs and updates on it. It's pretty neat for a courthouse!
The main stairs up to the court rooms. The whole inside is decorated with Terra Cotta and marble.
Stained glass Rotunda.
Close up of one of the pillars.
Stained glass light in the court room.
We sure enjoyed our weekend. Hope you enjoy the pictures we are sharing.
Nacho is signing off. Got to do a yard inspection.

ChuckWagon Rally - South Sioux City, NE
KT here, subbing for Nacho; he's too busy causing trouble to dictate this to Mom. We packed up the Airstream (AS) on Wednesday night and were on the road by 10:30 Thursday morning for the 4 hour drive to S. Sioux City, NE to stay at the Scenic Park campground. The cg was right on the Missouri river, though the view wasn't as pretty as it is in other parts of the country. Mom likes the view in Montana. :)
There were quite a few other AS at the park, 3 - 34' AS, ours, a 28' and then some other brands. There was a little Winnebago fifth wheel from the early 60's, Mom can't remember the year. A Scotty, and a couple Foresters. She thinks they were all from the 60's. Also a new Teardrop! Cute but too small! We need room to move around!
Potlucks each night with great food! Our hosts Sue, Mandie and Cynthia along with brother Pierce, who did the meat grilling, put on an excellent evenings of food, entertainment and fun! Thanks to all of you!!! Each evening featured different entertainment; Thursday was bowling, which Mom and Dad won!!! Unbelievable as they aren't known for being good bowlers! We got medals to hang and traveling trophies. It was great fun! Friday was the baked bean contest and Mom beat out 7 other recipes to take home the 1st place. She likes her recipe, but was still surprised! Wow, two nights of victory!! Winning 1st place in the bean contest won them front row seating with popcorn, snow cones and candy at the movie. Dad even picked it out earlier in the planning stages, "John Wayne, in Roster Cogburn". Saturday evening was another potluck with cow turd toss and the cowboy hat contest. Super hot, but loads of fun!!!
During the day, Nacho and I had to stay in the trailer, though we didn't really complain because it was way too hot for our delicate little bodies. Mom didn't want us to get heat stroke!! We got to attend the fun activities in the evening after dinner, because we didn't want to be tempted by all the people food.
One day Mom and Dad went into Sioux City with Kathy and Scott to see some local sights. Another day, they went by themselves to try the Milwaukee Wiener Co. and see the Classic cars.
Another great camping weekend! KT here signing off for Nacho. We still LOVE our 74! We got nice compliments during the trailer open house on Saturday afternoon. I'll post more pictures of them tomorrow. It's late and we got to go to bed because Mom and Dad have to work in the morning! Bummer!!!

Hostess Cynthia, setting out some of the food.
A few of the crowd, laughing and talking before dinner.
Hostess Sue!! She's a sweetie!
Hostesses Mandie and Cynthia, calling us to supper at our Chuck Wagon Rally!
Scott and Kathy went all out and even had a hat for their pup and stick horses to ride! :)
Here's the whole gang for the cowboy hat competition.

Adventures with Kevin and Chris
Nacho here checking in. It sure has been busy around the house the last couple weeks. Last Friday, the 13th, we loaded (Mom and Dad) up the AS and drove down to Andover, Illinois to camp in the driveway of Mom's brother Kevin and his wife Chris. It was Grandma's 80th birthday so we wanted to be down there to attend the potluck with her.
It was tricky backing into Kevin's driveway because it has a bit of a curve to it, but we made it and then we got to play in the backyard while Mom and Dad visit with Kevin and Chris. They had a cookout and it was a beautiful night, not too hot!
Saturday was a leisurely morning, we got to play with Annie, their dog. Then we had to get penned up because they all decided to go to town for lunch and shopping at Gander Mountain, Dad's favorite store, well really only 1 of his favorites. :) Mom said the buffalo chicken salad at Kelly's in Davenport is still the best!
Finally !!, they came back and we got to play with Annie again! Mom and Chris prepared food to take to the Potluck. We like going to Annie's house because they have huge rooms where we can run and we don't get in trouble, but we get tired fast so we took naps in between.
Mom said potluck was good and they had a nice visit with her siblings and parents. We had to stay behind again. Bummer!
Sunday it was practice for Mom backing up in their driveway, she didn't do so well she thought, but the rest told her she did pretty good. All the back and forth made her sick so we got to play with Annie for a while before we started home.
Well that was our adventure in the Airstream for the weekend. It worked great! The bed is nice, lots of room for me and KT and Mom and Dad too! Mom says she really likes the kitchen. :)

Well when I had the time I promised to post some additional pictures, so here they are:
Old front coucho, obviously I didn't get pictures before we started the destruction.
Side counter and sliding cabinet in the kitchen
New dinette that folds down into an actual full size bed
Full size refrigerator with storage above and below, and lots of storage drawers below microwave and a deep one above.
There is one shelf that runs the length of the cabinet and is as deep as the whole width. It holds so much stuff!!
Prep drawer under the microwave, sure is handy!
I know the longer we are in it, I will re-arrange and get even more organized. With so much storage in the kitchen and in the back living area, we have twice the storage we had in our 2001 30' Airstream.

Sneak Peaks of Trailer
Here is a few pictures of our updated 1974 Airstream Land Yacht. The first picture is the new coucho in the Living area, 2nd picture is the same space before. Third picture is the old kitchen and the fourth is a view of the inside looking from the bathroom. We are loving it!!
Thanks to Ryan and Shari for giving us a beautiful "New" Airstream.

Day in Des Moines
Nacho here checking in. We had our first night in the Airstream (AS) at Timberline campground in Waukee, IA. It is so hot here in Iowa, 101!!!! The air conditioner cooled down the AS, but it sure was hot while Mom and Dad set up. We had a few issues with the trailer, so they said it's going back to get some bugs fixed. I like to kill bugs, don't understand why they won't let me and KT help?!
We all tried out the new dinette/bed. It was pretty comfortable.
KT and I got left behind while they met Mary, Dan and Steph for a movie and dinner. Mom said it was way to hot to spend it walking around outside. Dad wanted to go to Living History Farms, but Mom said maybe this fall. So I guess we will be coming down here again.
She was saying what a good meal it was at Waterfront Seafood. She highly recommends it if anyone is traveling through Des Moines.
That's it for today.

OK, Nacho here again. We have already had questions about me and my FurMom, like when did I join the family, where did I come from and how old am I? Gee, I feel like a celebrity! I kind of am, because my FurDad is rather well known.
So here is my background; I was born to Ch Crestwood Suddently I See "KT" and BISS GCH Black Back Firefly "Ringo" on 18 November 2010. MOM adopted me in February 2011 from where I was living with my parents in Vancouver, WA with Pamela Levy and brought me to Cedar Falls, IA. Burr...it was really cold here! While visiting with Pamela, MOM found out that Pamela would consider letting my FurMom, KT come and live in Iowa also. So in June, MOM flew back out to Vancouver, WA and brought KT back to Iowa. At least she got to travel in warm weather!
FurMom is 4 years old, so she is still pretty active and we like to wrestle and play together. Especially with the "CUZ"!
We both love to ride in the truck with MOM and DAD when they go anywhere, but it's even better when we take trips, because there is so much to see and new smells to explore. DAD says I am really curious and very aware of my surroundings!
Well, more later, but hope that answers some of your questions.

First Trip out in Refurbished 1974 Airstream
Hi Everyone,
Let me introduce us. I am Nacho, an Australian Terrier. Mom and Dad, Candace (Candy), David and my furMom, KT are starting a new adventure. We love to travel, try new foods as we go, visit National Parks, and generally explore all the wonderful sites this GREAT COUNTRY, USA, has to offer. Join us as we go! MOM and DAD will take their bikes and canoe; they tell me I can't go with them when they are using them. GEE!!! Bummer!!! Means FurMom and me will be stuck in the Airstream.
They originally planned on buying a fifth wheel, but they just had their 1974 Airstream, which has been in storage for 7 years, refurbished. It's beautiful, (I'm told because I haven't been in it yet) has lots of storage and is so much more functional than it's original design that they decided to use it. MOM will be attaching some before and after pictures soon. A great big Thank You to Ryan and Shari at RV Revive in Cedar Falls, IA for giving them their dream Airstream!!!! My thoughts on it are still undecided.
This weekend, will be our maiden voyage (it is a Land Yacht) to try it out. We will be taking a short one, just to Waukee, IA to celebrate DAD's 62nd Birthday! Happy Birthday Dave!!!! And their daughter Mary's, 29nd Birthday! Happy Birthday Mary!!!
The plan is to use this blog to stay in contact with family and friends and share our adventures in the Airstream as we take vacations and weekend trips this year and then our travels across the USA when MOM and DAD start their retirement in 2013, Lord willing, they say. Please join us in our adventures!
